Ingredients

 

  • 1–16-ounce box ziti noodles

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1–12-ounce package Italian sausage

  • 1–16-ounce jar pasta sauce

  • 1–15-ounce carton ricotta cheese

  • 1–15-ounce carton cottage cheese

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 pound mozzarella cheese

  • Salt and pepper

Directions

Boil Water and add 2-3 tablespoons of salt. Wait a couple of minutes for salt to dissolve, then add pasta. Noil pasta until fully cooked. Drain noodles, but do not rinse. Set aside. Brown ground beef and Italian sausage. In a large bowl, combine meats, pasta sauce and noodles. Set aside. In another large bowl, combine ricotta, cottage and half of the mozzarella. Once mixed, add eggs, salt and pepper.

To assemble ziti, add half of the pasta mixture to deep pan. Then, add half of cheese mixture, repeat. Top with remaining mozzarella and bake at 350 F for 45 minutes.
